Yet another of Gaudi’s work, this time located atop a hill a good 20 minutes climb from the nearest metro station (don’t worry, there are escalators on the way up). Arriving too early to enter the monumental zone (they are pretty strict about the allocated time slots for online tickets), I decided to pass time by exploring the rest of the park (It is free to enter the park, but various attractions around the park may have their own entrance fee: e.g. Gaudi House Museum) and I was rewarded with stunning views of the cityscape from various vantage points as well as chances to interact with the locals (and their dogs). The monumental zone is decidedly more touristy, especially since the government has decided to implement an entrance fee in an attempt to limit the number of visitors per day, but it is also the most decorated part of the park.
