Just over a month ago, I embarked on an epic road trip along the western end of the States to celebrate my graduation from medical school. My first stop was Yosemite National Park, where I spent 5 days marveling at nature’s wonders.
My friend, Samuel (pictured) and I spent our first day marveling at the majestic landscape and forestry along the lower Yosemite Falls trail… in preparation for our hike up the Upper Yosemite Falls the next day
We embarked on the Upper Yosemite Falls trail on our second day. I did not bring along my DSLR for this grueling 800m ascent, which is a decision I live to regret given the views at the top.
Yet another day of hiking – we conquered Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls on our third day in Yosemite.
On our fourth day, my friends and I were a little bored of seeing trees and mountains, so we headed to the nearby Bass Lake to try our luck at fishing. Atas, luck was not on our side, but it was very enjoyable to just sit by the lake side and enjoy an ice cold beer.
It is not hard to see why this is perhaps the most iconic view of Yosemite National Park, especially during sunset, where the setting sun lights up the icons of the Park
