Girona is a beautiful city less than 40 minutes from Barcelona by train. It was initially a toss up between visiting Girona vs Sitges as a day trip from Barcelona and I am so glad that I chose Girona. It feels like a smaller, more charming version of Florence, with an amazing culinary experience to boot! (The world’s best restaurant is located in this city)
